One person was killed and at least three were airlifted to the hospital after a fiery collision between a van and a passenger vehicle Thursday afternoon, according to Kentucky State Trooper Charles Loudermilk.
Loudermilk said the two vehicles struck one another head-on near Eden Ridge Road, and the smaller of the pair flipped and caught fire.
A witness, Michael Chestnut, said he helped pull three teenagers from the flaming wreckage of the passenger car.
None of the victims’ names had been released as of midnight Thursday.
