Neither the Lexington Police nor the Fayette County Coroner's Office has identified the shooter. However, multiple law enforcement personnel tell LEX 18 the suspect has been identified as Guy House. We looked into House's background and discovered he has a lengthy criminal history.

Lexington police provided some more details regarding the situation in a recent release. Police say that “a short time” after the suspect shot the trooper, the suspect carjacked a vehicle in the 3700 block of Belleau Wood Drive. He then fled the scene, and no injuries were reported stemming from the carjacking.
Police add that with the support of the Real-Time Intelligence Center and the department’s Air Support Unit, they were able to track the stolen vehicle to Richmond Road Baptist Church.
"The suspect was shot by responding law enforcement and was pronounced deceased at the scene," the release stated.

The Lexington Police Department held a press conference to provide updated information on the connected shootings that occurred on Terminal Drive and Old Richmond Road on Sunday.
During the conference, authorities reported that two women, who were shot at the Richmond Road Baptist Church on Old Richmond Road, were confirmed dead. The victims were identified by police as 72-year-old Beverly Gumm and 32-year-old Christina Combs.
In addition, two men, who were also shot at the church, are being treated for injuries at an area hospital.
Lexington police previously reported that the trooper, who was shot on Terminal Drive, is stable. The suspect connected to the two shootings was shot by police and is confirmed dead.

The Lexington Police Department released additional details on the Sunday afternoon shooting that left a trooper, and multiple people, injured.
Officials reported that police arrived at the Richmond Baptist Church in the 5800 block of Old Richmond Road for a shooting with multiple victims. Police confirmed that the suspect is dead.
The church shooting, police reported, is connected to the shooting that occurred on Terminal Drive where a Kentucky State Police trooper was shot. Police added that "while that shooting occurred on Terminal Drive, it was unrelated to the Blue Grass Airport."
The trooper is currently stable, and is receiving medical treatment, according to police.
Further, the Old Richmond Road shooting is also reported as an officer-involved shooting. Lexington police said that they are working with the KSP Critical Incident Response Team and they will provide additional information as it becomes available.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said in a post to X, “Kentucky, we are aware of a series of incidents in Lexington around one suspect, including a trooper-involved shooting and an additional shooting at Richmond Road Baptist Church with multiple injuries. The trooper and others are being treated at a nearby hospital.” He added, “Please pray for everyone affected by these senseless acts of violence, and let’s give thanks for the swift response by the Lexington Police Department and Kentucky State Police. Details are still emerging, and we will share more information as available.”

A Kentucky State Police trooper was shot, and multiple people were injured in shooting incidents that began near the Blue Grass airport and ended at Richmond Road Baptist Church in Fayette County on Sunday.
According to Kentucky State Police, the incident began around 11:36 a.m. when a suspect shot a trooper near the Blue Grass Airport and fled the scene.
The suspect then traveled to Richmond Road Baptist Church, where KSP and Lexington police were able to “secure the suspect.”
KSP confirmed the suspect is dead and the wounded trooper is currently receiving medical attention.
EMS responded to the church, where multiple victims are being treated. The exact number of victims and the extent of their injuries have not yet been released.
Kentucky State Police said they will provide more information as it becomes available.

The Lexington Police Department says that another investigation is currently underway in the 5800 block of Old Richmond Road.
The Fayette County Coroner was also reported on the scene by a crew with LEX 18.
Police say, “For the safety of the surrounding community, officers have temporarily closed some roads nearby and will be assisting with traffic. Please follow all directions given by officers and use alternative routes. Officers will remain in the area until the investigation is complete.
The department states that it will provide more updates as they become available.
LEX 18 is currently working to determine if the two incidents are connected.

One person was taken to the hospital with reported "serious" injuries following a shooting at Blue Grass Airport on Sunday, according to the Lexington Fire Department.
The fire department says that they were dispatched at 11:39 a.m. for a reported shooting with a victim.
