CINCINNATI – Kim Davis makes Jennifer Lawrence “embarrassed to be from Kentucky.”

That’s what the movie star and 25-year-old Louisville, Kentucky native told a Vogue reporter in the magazine’s December issue.

Lawrence said she wasn't happy to see the Rowan County clerk make news a few months ago for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

Davis wasjailed for five nights for her decision not to issue the licenses. She was released Sept. 7 after a federal judge ordered her not to interfere with her deputies.

"Don't even say her name in this house," Lawrencetold the magazine’s reporter, when asked about her thoughts on Davis.

Lawrence then referred to Davis as the "lady who makes me embarrassed to be from Kentucky,” according to the Vogue cover story.

"All those people holding their crucifixes, which may as well be pitchforks, thinking they’re fighting the good fight," Lawrence told the magazine. "I grew up in Kentucky. I know how they are.”

Lawrence told Vogue she was raised a Republican and "can’t imagine supporting a party that doesn’t support women’s basic rights."

The magazine also quoted Lawrence’s views on a possible future with Donald Trump in the White House.

“If Trump is president of the United States, it will be the end of the world,” she said. “And he’s also the best thing to happen to the Democrats ever.”

Lawrence is starring in the upcoming “Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” and “Joy,” a film about a struggling single mom of three children who invented the "Miracle Mop."
