Carroll County jailers accused of sneaking illicit items into detention center, bribery

CARROLLTON, Ky. — Two deputy jailers in Carroll County were arrested on charges of bribery and promoting contraband, Kentucky State Police announced Tuesday.

The arrests resulted from a KSP investigation that revealed the two jail staffers were allegedly paid to "introduce illicit items" into the Carroll County Detention Center.

Robert McDole, 35, was charged with four counts of promoting contraband 2nd degree, two counts of promoting contraband 1st degree and bribery of a public servant.

Yogi Perkins, 41, was charged with two counts of promoting contraband 2nd degree, one count of promoting contraband 1st degree and bribery of a public servant.

Both were arrested Monday night and lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.

KSP is still investigating.
