One dead in Grant County Dixie Highway crash

GRANT COUNTY, Ky. — Kentucky State Police are investigating a crash that left one person dead in Grant County Friday.

According to a release from the department, officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Dixie Highway, for a crash around 2:00 p.m.

Officials said a car traveling south on Dixie Highway crossed the center line, striking a car traveling northbound. The driver heading south, 36-year-old Robert Lister of Williamstown, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner. The other driver was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Grant County and treated for non-life threatening injuries. A toxicology report is pending.

An investigation is ongoing.
