LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.  – Long-time Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard is leaving to become chief deputy to the newly-elected Indiana attorney general, Curtis Hill.

Negangard has been prosecutor since 2006 after starting as a deputy prosecutor in 1997.

"I am honored by Curtis Hill to help him lead his office," Negangard said. "It has been an honor to serve the citizens of Dearborn and Ohio counties. I will miss this job."

"Aaron Negangard has spent most of his career fighting to protect Hoosiers and families from crime," Hill said. "He is just the type of leader needed in the Attorney General's office."

Hill will be sworn in on Jan. 9.
