CINCINNATI -- A restaurateur hopes his bakery and cafe in Over-the-Rhine will bring a piece of Greece to the city.
Fillo Bake Shop, slated to open at 1505 Race Street in mid-November, will serve baked goods in the morning and small plates of Greek cuisine, beer and wine in the evening.
The eatery will have exclusively Greek-inspired food and a full espresso bar.
Fillo Bake Shop will occupy the space at 1505 Race Street in Over-the-Rhine.
Entrepreneur Evan Papanikolaou said he hopes the bakery-cafe will make people feel like they’re in a European cafe.
“When you walk into Fillo, you’ll feel like you’re in Greece,” Papanikolaou said.
Papanikolaou said Fillo Bake Shop will give patrons a taste of Greek dining culture.
“We don’t want people to feel rushed out. This is a place that we feel is really missing in Over-the-Rhine,” he said.
