RECAP: Fact-checking the Democratic debate

Democratic presidential contenders Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders face each other one-on-one for the first time Thursday night -- Martin O'Malley dropped out Monday due to his dismal showing in the Iowa caucuses.

Clinton and Sanders were essentially tied in Iowa, with Clinton leading by just 0.2 percent.

The debate began at 9 p.m. on cable network MSNBC; it's being held in New Hampshire, site of next week's first-in-the-nation presidential primaries.
