Who founded the Democratic party?

The question came up in conversation last week here at The Castle, also known as the WCPO office.

A quick Google search ensued, and we discovered that Andrew Jackson is credited with founding the modern Democratic party.

If you knew that, you could be ready for the primetime of political trivia.

We have a great WCPO Insider event coming up that combines trivia, politics and even craft beer.

On Sept. 26, we are putting on Politics on Tap: Trivia and Debate Watch Party

It begins at 7 p.m. the Monday of the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

What: Politics on Tap: Trivia and Debate Watch Party

When: 7 p.m. Sept. 26

Where: Braxton Brewing, 27 West Seventh Street, Covington

Cost: Free!

RSVP: Click here to sign up.

We have Braxton Brewing in Covington reserved for this special event.

There will be one hour of political trivia provided by Last Call Productions.

Then we will watch the two candidates debate.

All while enjoying Braxton’s finest -- along with some of those cool cookies with the candidates' faces on them from Busken Bakery.

This free event is open to everyone. But if you’re an Insider, we’re buying your first round.

So come, hang out with our expert political reporters -- Amanda Seitz and Paula Christian -- and other WCPO staff members and enjoy the evening. We just ask that everyone stay civil!
