CINCINNATI -- Maslow's Army has been meeting at Fountain Square for more than a year. Sunday, they met there one final time.

The group meets every Sunday to provide food and other items to people experiencing homelessness. But they won't be able to keep meeting at Fountain Square because 3CDC has other events being hosted there over the summer.

"It's bittersweet," said Susan Landis, a co-founder of Maslow's Army. "We're grateful to 3CDC for giving us permits for as ling as they did. Regardless, we'll keep serving until we find a new location."

Co-founder Samuel Landis said they're looking into using the lawn across from the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.

"We think that would be a wonderful location," he said.

The group said they won't stop their work helping people who are homeless just because they can't use Fountain Square.

"Change is possible," Landis said. "There are people in the community that love and support them. If they continue to better their life, we'll be here for them."

Maslow's Army is currently asking for donations and sponsorships to help fund the money they may need to move into a permanent spot. A new home could cost more than $20,000 each year.

"We're going to continue," Samuel Landis said. "We've made a commitment as Maslow's Army."
