Starbucks is looking to cut some calories out of your morning brew.
The coffee chain will soon make their classic bottled Frappuccino with their signature Almondmilk, a non-dairy milk alternative
Starbucks Bottled Frappuccino Chilled Coffee Drink with Almondmilk will be sold in vanilla and mocha flavors, Today reported. They hit the shelves in May 2018.
While the drinks use a non-dairy almond milk, they are not marketed as “dairy-free” or “vegan,” so they may not be ideal for those with a severe dairy allergy.
The fraps made with Almondmilk have 35 percent fewer calories than the traditional drinks.
Starbucks will also release Doubleshot Coffee Smoothies in May. The smoothies feature a blend of Almondmilk, bananas and coffee, and they will be available in Dark Chocolate Banana and Vanilla Honey Banana flavors.
Starbucks has offered Almondmilk for about a year. The chain also has soymilk and coconut milk as alternatives to dairy.
