CINCINNATI -- Coney Island will have a special attraction when it opens Saturday: a 155-foot Ferris wheel.
The Coney Island SkyWheel features 36 six-person gondolas. Each ride will take about 10 minutes. At night, more than a half-million LED points of light will bright it to life.
The SkyWheel is the largest mobile Ferris wheel-style ride in North America, so visitors will have to hurry: It's only at Coney Island for six weeks, ending its run July 8.
Tickets are $5 per person, and they're available for purchase online at coneyislandpark.com.
The Coney Island SkyWheel will be located adjacent to the park’s popular Sunlite Water Adventure area, toward Riverbend Music Center.
This summer will be Coney Island's 132nd year in operation. Take a look back at some past attractions at the park, and other Cincinnati amusement parks of yesteryear.
