LARNACA, Cyprus — New video has surfaced showing a surprisingly calm scene on board EgyptAir flight 181, which was hijacked Tuesday while flying en route to Cairo, Egypt from Alexandria.

The video shows British passenger Ben Innes posing for a photograph with suspected hijacker Seif Eldin Mustafa, who police say forced the plane to land on the island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea.

In the video, flight attendants call Innes to the back of the plane to take a picture with Mustafa. The Associated Press reported Mustafa was taken into custody after he released all the passengers and crew.

His surrender ended an hours-long drama and standoff at the Larnaca airport in southern Cyprus. The hijacker had earlier freed most of the passengers but kept seven people — four crew members and three passengers — with him.
