CINCINNATI – Prayers were answered around the Tri-State when former Bengals coach Sam Wyche got a lifesaving heart transplant earlier this month.
The coach took to Facebook Sunday to thank the public for its prayers and support as he went through heart transplant surgery in Charlotte, North Carolina. Watch his message in the video player above.
"I want to thank everyone for being with me during a time of total uncertainty," Wyche said. "I also want to thank someone that I’ll never know -- because he gave up his heart, that I might live."
Wyche said he received hundreds of cards and emails along with thousands of hits on his website throughout the past month as well-wishers sent their regards.
