A Massachusetts teenager charged with sexually assaulting two of his classmates while they were unconscious was given probation, masslive.com reported

David Becker, 18, was given two years of probation by a judge in Palmer (Mass.) District Court after prosecutor's recommended Becker be found guilty of two counts of indecent assault and battery and serve two years in prison, according to the news outlet.

Instead, the case will be continued without finding for two years while Becker must remain alcohol and drug free, be evaluated for sex offender treatment and stay away from the two victims, Judge Thomas Estes ruled.

Becker, a former student at East Longmeadow High School, will be allowed to attend college in Ohio as part of the probation, according to masslive.com.

"He can now look forward to a productive life without being burdened with the stigma of having to register as a sex offender," said attorney Thomas Rooke, who defended David Becker in court, according to masslive.com. "The goal of this sentence was not to impede this individual from graduating high school and to go onto the next step of his life, which is a college experience."
