Acting Interior Secretary is David Bernhardt will be nominated to hold the position permanently.
President Trump tweeted Monday that he is nominating Bernhardt, who succeeded Ryan Zinke when he resigned Jan. 2.
"David has done a fantastic job from the day he arrived, and we look forward to having his nomination officially confirmed!" the tweet said.
