What's scarier than spoilers to the plot of Stranger Things' season two?

Salad in your trick-or-treat bucket.

"I would legit call the cops on any house that gave these out," wrote Instagram artist Adam Padilla as a caption to his edited image of "fun-size" salads.

While dentists may applaud the idea of healthier treats, a Dole executive warned Padilla of possible trademark infringement should he carry on editing Dole's photos.

"From the looks of everything, you're using Dole's trademark to tie your marketing and (admittedly-good) image editing skills to us, thus having the public mistakenly believe your images are affiliated with our company," wrote Richard Jacobs, vice president and division general counsel for Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. "Normally, we would insist that you take your images down or else I and our more formal and scary hired-gun lawyers would come and take all your candy away."

Luckily, in the spirit of Halloween, Jacobs let Padilla go with just a warning this time.

Jacobs also dropped a hint that his company is hard at work on developing single-serve salad kits that should hit grocer's shelves in 2018. Check the letter below for more details.
