NEW YORK (AP) — In normal times, the new "Hunger Games" novel by Suzanne Collins would be an occasion for bookstore parties and other group gatherings.
But the promotion this time will be virtual.
The prequel, titled "The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes," comes out Tuesday.
It's the most high-profile release since the virus shut down most of the country's bookstores in March.
Unlike movies or plays, books can still be enjoyed as their creators intended them.
But promotion now mostly relies on what the Internet can offer, whether it's videos or social media posts or online activities.
