Amber Heard will donate her entire $7 million divorce settlement from actor Johnny Depp to two charities, including one that helps victims of domestic violence, according to Time.

In addition to the $3.5 million going to the American Civil Liberties Union – more specifically, its efforts to combat violence against women – Heard, 30, will also donate to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

On Tuesday, the couple settled their highly-publicized divorce case.

Heard filed for divorce in May, at which time she accused Depp of physical abuse – allegations that Depp has continued to deny. She has since withdrawn her abuse allegations, TMZ reported.

The settlement came one day before the actors were scheduled to begin a restraining order hearing that centered on the domestic violence claims.

“As described in the restraining order and divorce settlement, money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully help those less able to defend themselves,” Heard said in a statement, according to Time.

“I know these organizations will put the funds to good use and look forward to continuing to support them in the future,” Heard continued, adding, “Hopefully, this experience results in a positive change in the lives of people who need it the most.”
