KETTERING, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in Ohio say a regional transit authority bus driver has died after the bus he was driving veered off a road and smashed into two parked vehicles.

Kettering police say the crash that injured at least three bus passengers happened shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday in the city about 6 miles (10 kilometers) southeast of Dayton. Police Lt. Lee Sanders said the bus driver and at least three passengers were taken to a hospital. Police say the driver was pronounced dead at the hospital and the passengers were treated and released.

The Montgomery County Coroner's Office hasn't released a cause of death for the driver, pending an autopsy.

The investigation into what caused the crash is continuing.
