Here are three stories I'm reading this morning:
Politics and government reporter Paula Christian takes a look at how many presidential candidate visits we will get and how much advertising we will see for the 2016 presidential race. The story is packed with great information like these two tidbits:
Ohio hosted 73 visits from presidential and vice presidential candidates in the two months leading up to the 2012 election, vastly more than any other state, according to a FairVote study. During that time Michigan hosted one visit. And 38 other states hosted zero.
In the 2012 race, President Barack Obama created 131 field offices in Ohio – more than any other state. In fact in 25 states, Obama had just one office.
Education reporter Bob Driehaus has an interesting story on grading teachers. As a parent with now two kids in school (they DO grow up fast!), I want to know that my kids' teachers are top-notch. But as Bob points out, evaluating teachers is a difficult process.
Have you had O Pie O yet? I've only tried the pies at Findlay Market. They are AMAZING! I can't wait to visit the new cafe in East Walnut Hills.
