Waynesville woman ID’d as victim of deadly Warren County crash

WAYNESVILLE, Ohio — A Waynesville woman has been identified as the victim of the fatal crash Thursday in Warren County, according to the Journal-News.

Annia Lechuga, 34, was pronounced dead at 3:35 p.m., according to Doyle Burke, chief investigator for the Warren County Coroner’s Office.

A second driver in the crash, who has not been identified, suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

Additional details were not available.

FIRST REPORT (Jan. 23):

One person was killed Thursday afternoon in a crash on Ohio 73 near Waynesville.

The two-vehicle crash was reported around 3:45 p.m. at state Route 73 and Old state Route 73 in Wayne Twp. in Warren County.

One of the drivers, who was not identified, was the person who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a release from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

The second driver, whose name also was not released, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries described as not life-threatening.

Ohio 73 was closed between Main Street and Township Line Road while deputies investigated at the scene.

No further information will be released pending notification of family, according to the sheriff’s office.
