SPRINGBORO, Ohio — When Melissa Moles went to finish the last of her Christmas shopping Wednesday, she didn't expect to come home with a new baby daughter.
According to WCPO media partner the Journal-News, Melissa Moles had just finished her Christmas shopping with her two young daughters Wednesday night. The three got in the car and headed home.
Before they arrived, Melissa would meet her third daughter, Willow, who was born right there in the car.
What’s more? Melissa performed the delivery herself.
“She said ‘she’s coming’ on the next contraction, and she did,” said Willow’s father, Jesse. “Melissa caught her herself and pulled her out and patted her on the back and got her breathing.
“We called our midwife and said, ‘Hey, we had the baby,’” he said.
The Journal-News reported that Melissa and Willow are both doing well after the delivery.
