DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 44-year-old Deerfield Twp. woman found in a grassy area near where she lived, one day after she had been reported missing, the Journal-News reported late Friday.

A K-9 unit discovered Rhonda Moore about 1:45 p.m. Friday near the property line of the Sterling Lakes apartment complex, in the 5700 block of Placid Lakes Drive, according to a sheriff’s office statement released late Friday night.

Sheriff’s detectives were conducting a missing persons investigation concerning Moore and had obtained a search warrant for her residence not long before the K-9 unit found the body, according to the Journal-News.

The statement does not identify who contacted the sheriff’s office on Thursday to reported the woman missing.

If you have information about Moore or what may have happened to her, you are asked to contact sheriff’s Lt. John Faine at 513-695-1522.
