LEBANON, Ohio – The former executive director of the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce pleaded guilty Thursday to stealing $20,000 from the organization when she worked there.

Sara Arseneau, 52, of Goshen, pleaded guilty to grand theft and tampering with records, both fourth degree felonies.

Areseneau’s duties included writing checks and releasing documents for tax purposes. She stole the money by issuing 13 extra checks to herself between 2012 and 2015, according to Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell.

She had held the position from 2003 until her sudden resignation last Summer.

Arseneau is scheduled to be sentenced March 8.
