CLEARCREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- An Oregonia teenager died Tuesday morning in a four-vehicle crash on state Route 48, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

An initial investigation found Thomas Williamitis's car went left of center near East Lytle Five Points Road at about 7:40 a.m. It crashed into two other vehicles, state troopers said.

Some debris from the collisions hit a fourth vehicle.

Williamitis, 16, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a sophomore at Dayton Christian School in Miamisburg, according to school officials. His body was taken to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for a full autopsy.

Terry Vandeberg, 47, had life-threatening injuries. She was taken in a medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital.

Vandeberg was driving one of the vehicles Williamitis hit, troopers said. An initial investigation found she was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the other vehicle had minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital. The driver who hit the debris was not injured.

The road was closed for several hours.

Troopers said drugs and alcohol don't appear to be factors in the crash, which is still under investigation.
