Two Miamisburg High School cross country runners hit by car at intersection, police say

FRANKLIN, Ohio – Two Miamisburg High School cross country runners were struck by a car as they ran through an intersection Monday  afternoon, police say.

Both runners were transported to hospitals, but neither appeared to have life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The team was running northbound on a bike path when two members veered into the street and were hit by a 67-year-old driver in a white GMC Arcadia. The incident happened about 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of South River St at E 2nd St. 

The westbound driver had a green light and no charges are expected to be filed against her,  according to police.
