Police: 15-year-old girl dies after being struck by a car in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ohio -- A 15-year-old girl died two days after she was struck by a driver in Franklin, police say.

Rose Nott, of Franklin, and another girl were struck when they crossed E 2nd Street at Deardoff Road last Monday night, according to Chief Russ Whitman. Both girls were taken to Atrium Hospital; one was released, but Nott was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Nott succumbed to her injuries early Wednesday morning, Whitman said. 

The driver who struck the teens is a 72-year-old, Whitman said. The crash is still under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
