FRANKLIN, Ohio -- A 55-year-old man died after he was struck by a car in Franklin Wednesday morning, according Franklin Police Chief Russ Whitman.

The man was struck on the west side of Lions Bridge around 6:40 a.m., Whitman said. He was taken to Atrium Hospital where he died.

Witnesses told Whitman that the man was crossing Miami Avenue in front of a car that was turning right onto Lions Bridge. The witness said the driver had a green light.

The victim was not identified by police, pending his family's notification.

Whitman said 21-year-old Jessi Siler of Middletown struck the man and was cited for driving under suspension.
