FRANKLIN, Ohio -- Police had to fish a bank robbery suspect out of the Great Miami River Friday afternoon, according to a news release from the Franklin Police Department.

Police said Robert Lucas, 49, robbed Huntington Bank on Main Street and fled westward toward the riverbank. When authorities found him on the edge of the river, he jumped in.

It took the help of a Franklin Fire Department water rescue team to retrieve the suspect, police said.
