HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A 4-year-old girl who was the subject of an endangered missing child advisory has been found.

Warren County deputies located Sophia Baase and her mother, Nicole Baase, at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday. They were traveling in Nicole Baase's car on Mason-Montgomery Road in Deerfield Township, Hamilton Township police said.

"Sophia is in good spirits and has been released to family members," according to the police department.

Nicole Baase was charged with interference with custody, police said, and more charges are pending.

Nicole Baase does not have custody of Sophia, and police said she failed to return Sophia to her custodial grandparents after picking her up from daycare Thursday.

Law enforcement officials said they were concerned for Sophia's safety because Nicole Baase has a history of drug abuse.

"We understand she has been sober for a period of time," said Hamilton Township Police Chief Scott Hughes. "Our fear is that she’s fell back on old habits."

WCPO will update this developing story.
