Woman dies after Warren Co. crash involving 3 vehicles

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A woman is dead after a crash in Hamilton Township involving a motorcycle, a vehicle and another vehicle pulling a horse trailer, according to police.

Sharon Rust, 34, of Milford was killed Sunday evening in a crash on State Route 48 in Warren County, police said.

Police said a Chevrolet Silverado towing a horse trailer, driven by Dawn York, 43, of Mason, was traveling southbound on State Route 48. Dee Jay Rust, 39, and Sharon Rust, 34, both of Milford, where behind the trailer on a Harley Electric Glide motorcycle, which was driven by Dee Jay Rust.

Stella Blackburn, 83, of Lebanon, was driving northbound on State Route 48 when police said she crossed the centerline and struck the horse trailer. Her vehicle then struck the motorcycle, ran off the road and flipped into a ditch.

Both Dee Jay and Sharon Rust were thrown from the motorcycle. Sharon was pronounced dead at the scene, and Dee Jay was transported to Bethesda North Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Blackburn was taken to TriHealth Bethesda Arrow Springs with non-life threatening injuries.
