This sweet Facebook Live proposal at Betta's Italian Oven in Norwood is what we all need on a Friday

NORWOOD, Ohio -- The smell of bruschetta isn’t the only thing in the air at Norwood’s Betta’s Italian Oven.

Love’s there, too — and it has been for at least two marriage proposals in the past month-and-half, owner Will DeLuca said.

On November 16 DeLuca went live on Facebook as he approached a couple with their appetizer, phone in hand and engagement ring on plate.

“Oh dude, what is that,” the bride-to-be says, eventually adding, “you gotta tape this.”

Luckily for her, she’s been live on Facebook the entire time. And luckily for her future husband, she says “yes” without hesitation.

“Seal it with a kiss,” DeLuca instructs, and they do.

Earlier that day, the groom called the restaurant and explained that’s where they couple had their first date, that he planned on proposing and asking that the table from the first date be ready for them.

DeLuca made sure of that, and decided to broadcast it live on Facebook.

“The first time I did the response from a lot from a lot friends and family were great,” he explained. “It’s good news. It was during the elections and stuff and we were constantly hearing bad stuff. It was something good we needed. Love does exist.”

Based on the reaction to DeLuca’s live video, he’s right.

“We’re getting heart bursts on Facebook right now,” DeLuca tells the couple after the proposal is accepted.
