CINCINNATI -- Not a single veteran who served our country should ever come home to face critical home repairs.

WCPO - 9 On Your Side, in partnership with People Working Cooperatively, raised $50,000 at its third annual “Ramp it Up for Veterans” telethon Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The fundraiser, which took place on Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day (Dec. 7), will assist low-income elderly and disabled veterans, from all eras, with these challenges.

You can also click here to donate at any time. Every gift you make will help to eliminate the need of 300-plus veterans and their families who are waiting for our help. The impact will be huge for these hometown heroes who are waiting for emergency home repairs, home modifications and more.

The impact is yours to make. These dollars will directly help veterans in your community -- maybe a neighbor, a friendly face at the supermarket, the person sitting next to you at church -- all who have bravely served their country. We ask that you give generously in the spirit of the holidays.
