INDEPENDENCE, Ky. -- Three people burned in a fish fry fire were taken to hospitals for treatment Friday evening.
Lt. Todd Kleier, of the Independence Fire Department, said a propane fire started at about 8 p.m. in an outdoor area where St. Barbara Church was having its fish fry.
The extent of the victims' injuries wasn't known Friday night, Kleier said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
