ELSMERE, Ky. — Police have identified the victim of a Thursday night shooting as 35-year-old Nichole Daugherty, who was shot and killed at the intersection of Garvey Avenue and Cross Street around 8 p.m.
Joseph Witkowicz, a 25-year-old Elsmere man, stands charged with murder in connection to Daugherty’s death. He could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted.
According to a news release from Capt. Gary Helton of the Kenton County Police Department, Daugherty had been shot multiple times.
She was dead by the time police and firefighters arrived on the scene.
