COVINGTON, Ky. -- One person was killed and another was injured in a Tuesday shooting at the same Covington intersection where a woman was killed Saturday night, according to Covington police.

Neither victim's name was immediately publicized. Police said the shooting at 13th and Wheeler appeared to have been the culmination of an argument among several people.

Lazuri Collins, a 24-year-old mother of three, was fatally shot in nearly the same spot just days earlier while driving with her father to the Cincinnati Music Festival. Although police said the intersection is typically busy, few or no witnesses had emerged to speak about Collins’ death Monday night.

Her family members, who described Collins as “vibrant” and full of life, pleaded with potential witnesses to come forward and help find the person who left her children motherless.

"If you know anything, it's okay to be a witness," her cousin, Haley Stowers, said. "It doesn't make you a bad person; it doesn't make you a snitch."

Covington Mayor Joe Meyer added his own voice to those calling for witnesses to speak up in a statement Wednesday.

"To the members of the community whose lives have been disrupted by this senseless violence in your neighborhood: you have the full weight of the City’s resources at your disposal," he said. “I urge members of the community who have information to please come forward."
