HILLSBORO, Ohio -- A fatal crash occurred on State Route 136 in Concord Township, according to the Wilmington Post Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 3 p.m. Saturday when Kayla Brate, 25, of Hillsboro, failed to yield while turning into a private drive off of northbound State Route 136 and struck 66-year-old motorcyclist Glenn Stroop, troopers said.
Stroop was transported by Southern Highland Joint EMS to Highland District Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Brate was not injured in the crash.
Stroop was not wearing a helmet, and speed does not appear to be a factor, troopers said.
The crash is under investigation.
