PAINT TOWNSHIP (Highland County), Ohio -- A man is dead after crashing his car at about 10:36 p.m. Sunday on state Route 753 south of Snake Road.
Eric G. Stone, 41, of Hillsboro, drove left of center in his 1994 Ford Mustang and struck a 2006 Ford Super Duty pickup truck driven by Kenneth Browning, 40, of Bloomingburg, Ohio, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Stone was taken to Adena Greenfield Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Browning was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers said neither driver was wearing a seat belt. They suspect alcohol or drugs to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
