SPRINGDALE, Ohio – Residents of a Springdale apartment complex had to deal with sewage overflowing into their homes for hours Saturday.
Sewage began flooding into some apartments at the Willows of Springdale at about 10 a.m. Saturday, residents said.
Residents reported sewage overflowing from toilets onto floors and bubbling up into tubs.
A representative from the complex said a clogged sewer drain was to blame, blocked by someone flushed by residents.
Cleaning crews were sent to the apartments, and they will be replacing carpets. Affected residents have been given temporary places to stay.
