PD: N. College Hill shooting suspect in custody

NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio – Two juveniles were shot in North College Hill Saturday night, and the alleged shooter was arrested within hours.

The shooting occurred in the 1500 block of Goodman Avenue, near Hamilton Avenue, at 7:51 p.m., police said.

One of the victims was a 17-year-old shot in the leg multiple times, police said. Police didn't give the other victim's age, but said that victim was also a juvenile.

Neither victim had life-threatening injuries and they were both expected to leave the hospital.

Police said the shooter ran from the scene, but they later had a suspect under arrest. The weapon was also recovered.

The suspect was charged with two counts of felonious assault, one count of tampering evidence and one count of possessing a weapon while under disability, police said.

Dominique Thomas, who lives nearby, said one of the victims said they were brothers when came came to Thomas' door, bleeding and asking for help.

“I honestly thought it was the person who had shot him,” Thomas said. “I was terrified.”

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
