MOUNT HEALTHY, Ohio — A police cruiser responding to a call collided with a car at a Mount Healthy intersection Monday evening, according to Sgt. Greg Nolte.

Everyone will be OK and no one had to be transported, Nolte said.

The crash occurred at Compton Road and Seward Avenue about 5 p.m.

A witness, Travis Lamkpke, told WCPO the officer's vehicle had lights and sirens on but didn't slow down as it approached the intersection.

Nolte gave this description at the scene:

“Ten minutes to 5, officers were dispatched to the Ameristop here at the corner of Clovernook and Compton Road. Trouble with a customer detail," Nolte said.

"Officers were responding to that when one of the officers came through the intersection here and had an auto accident.

"As customary for our department, we called the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department to investigate. They’ll handle the investigation. We won’t be commenting any further on any parts of the investigation. They’ll be carrying that.”

There was no official information about the cause of the crash.
