CINCINNATI — A 17-year-old was shot and killed in Lincoln Heights Friday night, and another teen is recovering after being shot just blocks away, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff.

Deputies responded to a report of person shot at 949 Adams St at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Dante Harrington was found with gunshot wounds and transported from the scene to University Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

While investigating the shooting, deputies heard six shots in the area of 9972 Chester Rd near the Our Corner Store at approximately 10:45 p.m.

Jaylan Hardy, 18, was found with a gunshot wound in his back. He is now in stable condition at University Hospital.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a black vehicle in connection with the first shooting incident, but did not offer suspect information.

Authorities said the relationship between the two shootings “is yet to be determined.”
