HARRISON, Ohio -- A 15-year-old was shot dead when someone mishandled a loaded gun, according to Harrison police.
Four juveniles found a loaded gun in a home on Winding Way Wednesday evening, police said. Someone mishandled the weapon, and one round was fired.
Police found a 15-year-old boy shot dead in the home. A 16-year-old boy is being charged with reckless homicide in the shooting death.
No adults were home at the time of the shooting, police said.
Police officers had been dispatched to the home for reports of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The 16-year-old is being held in the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.
