FOREST PARK, Ohio -- Police arrested a woman who they said ditched on her cab fare but left a purse full of drug paraphernalia behind.

Courtney Burke, 25, took a cab to the Omniplex Drive Comfort Suites but failed to pay the $80 fare Wednesday, police said in court records.

However, the cab driver told police the passenger left her purse behind. Officers, searching for identification, found the purse contained several syringes and various IDs and credit cards. None of the IDs or credit cards matched Burke's identity, police said.

Officers found Burke a short time later at the Fairfield Meijer, they said. She voluntarily went with them back to the hotel, where she admitted to possessing the needles for injecting heroin.

A search turned up nine syringes and two crack pipes, police said.

Burke was charged with theft, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and possession drug abuse instruments.
