CINCINNATI -- Two people are dead and another is wounded after an overnight crash in Springfield Township.

The crash happened late Sunday near the intersection of Winton and Fleming roads.

Investigators said a black Lexus heading north in the 9500 block of Winton Road left the roadway and hit a tree and utility pole at about 11:58 p.m. Sunday.

One occupant was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The two other people in the car died at the scene.

The driver, 33-year-old Doug E. Roeder, of Springfield Township, and passenger, 32-year-old Kimberly Fillingane, of Middletown, were later identified as the people who were killed in the crash.

The third passenger is said to be in serious but stable condition at UCMC.

Investigators said they learned the trio left a local bar after a fight in the parking lot. Alcohol and excessive speed are suspected in the crash.

No other details have been released.
