Man struck by train in Butler County, rushed to UC Medical Center

FAIRFIELD, Ohio -- A train struck a man who had been sitting on train tracks in Butler County Wednesday night, authorities said.

The impact, which took place at a crossing on Bobmeyer Road, severely injured the victim and threw him several yards from the tracks.

The train stopped, and Air Care transported the man to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

His condition is unknown at this time.
