FAIRFIELD, Ohio -- A man has pleaded guilty in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found near a water plant more than a year ago after she'd been reported missing.

Hamilton County park rangers found De'Asia Sims, of Middletown, dead near the entrance of the Bolton Water Works Plant off Lick Road, near Highway 27 and River Road, on Dec. 14, 2014. Her mother had reported her missing a day earlier.

Juwan Hawkins pleaded guilty to aggravated murder Thursday, Assistant Butler County Prosecutor Dan Phillips said. The two were involved in a personal relationship, according to police.

Hawkins faces a prison term of 23 years to life.
