FAIRFIELD, Ohio -- Fairfield City Schools is opening a full-service health clinic, which will be the first of its kind in the country.

The center will provide primary care, dental, vision and behavioral healthcare for students and families.

School representatives say the addition of the clinic should improve student performance.

"We have a district of about 10,000 students. In a survey, we found that, for about half of these students, the emergency room is their primary care provider," said Jeff Madden, director of student services at Fairfield.
