FAIRFIELD, Ohio -- A Butler County sheriff’s deputy struck a pedestrian at 1403 Symmes Road around 9:30 p.m. Monday, dispatchers confirmed. 

Police had not released any information about the victim’s identity or condition by 6 a.m.

Neighbors said the victim was a man in his 60s who was "bleeding from the ear and somewhat conscious, but couldn't feel below his waist."
